7th- & 8th-GRADES

2 Full Years On-Campus in Middle School

7th-grade year, there is no remote option for regular campuses. To stay remote, you must apply and be accepted to the virtual academy. Braden decided he wanted to be on campus, so that's what he's doing. 

He is still in the EXPO program and is taking Honors classes for Texas History, Science, and Math.

We just finished the first 9-weeks, and he is being successful in all of his classes. He is really enjoying the various projects he gets to complete and especially enjoys the partnered/team projects where he gets to collaborate. He still needs to work on organization and meeting timelines, and we will continue to try and find strategies that work for him.

7th-grade had a few ups and downs with one teacher not following his Section 504 plan. Administrators got involved and things improved. The year was finished without further incident.

8th-grade year, he chose to not take more of a particular course due to issues last year. Otherwise, 8th grade was much of a rinse & repeat of 7th.
